Job responsibilities:

• Maintain processes to monitor capital and solvency on an ongoing basis.

• Review reinsurance transactions and arrangements from capital, solvency, and profitability standpoint.

• Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the committees in performing their responsibilities

• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline

• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization

• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process

• Works with the top management to proactively eliminate financial and legal risk to Company.

• Review, draft, implement and monitor internal controls and financial policies and procedures

• Lead on annual budget process and plan for the long-term strategic business plan

• Prepare and present ongoing reports to various governance bodies, including the Audit Committee, Investment Committee, and Board of Directors

• Carry out duties with the highest degree of integrity - with all the appropriate records being maintained, reports being provided, and all required and necessary deadlines being met

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports

Qualifications:

• Male / Female

• Good command of English (Chinese is a plus) 

• Holding Master degree in Accounting and Finance, ACCA or CPA, or other equivalent professional qualification

• 10+ years work experience in the industry management position

• Need work experience in insurance industry, preferred from general insurance

• Strong technical and analytical skills, including experience of using quantitative risk models.

• Leadership and managerial proficiencies, with the ability to influence both direct and matrixed reporting relationships.

• Good problem solver with the ability to understand business drivers and needs and be able to balance desired outcomes against potential risks and challenges.

• Leading or coordinating hedging programs, reinsurance, or other risk mediation strategies for general insurance
